AARP Platoon Applications READ FIRST!!
Hi and welcome to our forums. We are assuming you are reading this because you want to be a platoon member. And why wouldn’t you. We are awesome!!!
While some Platoons just add anyone who asks, we do not.
We take things a bit more seriously and like to get to know potential members before making a decision.
If you have read this far, congrats. You have already made it through the bare minimum to continue.
So, here are a few tips you should follow if you want to become a platoon member:
- Staying active in the forums. This can trip up some people so I will try to explain what that means and why we feel it is important.
- Our forums are the primary way we interact we our members. If there is a change in map rotation, or an issue with the servers, or a discussion about SUS players, all this happens in the forums. While we do use discord, it is not our primary source of communicating information to our members. Although, on occasion, Discord can be a quicker way to make a report. Bottom line is, be active on both but we pay more attention to forum participation.
- Participation does not just mean reading through posts. It means you interact with our members and guests buy commenting on posts, adding your thoughts and occasionally starting your own posts. This is how we get to know one another. Man, this feels like trying to give a virgin dating advice. Ok, I digress. Back to the regularly scheduled program.
- All this takes time. We don’t fuck on the first or second or third date. We want to make sure you are a good fit for us and vice versa. Applications sometimes stay open for months depending on how active you are. Don’t take this personally or as a rejection. If we decide the fit is not right, we will let you know. We may also encourage you to participate more so we know you are still around.
- Being a Platoon member comes with benefits besides our members’ only section here and in discord. We want to know you really want to be here and not just for perks in the game.
- While I said we take this more serious than other Platoons, we are also a lot of fun as you can tell reading through the posts
